To open the CD-ROM:

        mciSendString('Set cdaudio door open wait', nil, 0, handle); 

To close the CD-ROM:

        mciSendString('Set cdaudio door closed wait', nil, 0, handle); 

Remember to include the MMSystem unit in your uses clause.
